Holiday Homes Blog Hop – A Festive Master Bedroom from Knock-it-Off Crafts

on December 16, 2015

I’m so excited to be participating in the ‘Holiday Homes Blog Hop‘, hosted by the fabulous Tiffany from

Joining me is an incredible group of talented bloggers, each of whom will share their favorite room filled with ideas for decorating for the holidays!

But for now, come along with me on a little crazy long tour of my favorite Christmas room!

Headboard Makeover| Dandelion Floating Frames|

Typically, it’s enough for me to get the main floor of the house decked out at this time of year, but I guess with everything going on with our family, I was feeling the need to bring it to a new level and include our bedroom. Maybe it’s all that extra time I have.. ha!

I like to keep things simple, tying in everyday furnishings with Christmas decor. One of my favorite ideas is to add splashes of red and glitter. Not only is red an obvious choice at Christmas, but it’s also my favorite color!

We are lucky enough to have not one, but two giant holly trees in our front yard. Me + my handy-dandy trimmers = greenery around the house at this time of year.

The red pillows have made an appearance before, but adding a simple holiday pillow changes the look. Instantly festive, no? I’ve yet to meet a pillow I haven’t loved!

The tray and salt and pepper shakers are one of my favorite Christmas gifts from my Secret Santa! A perfect gift for me!

It’s so easy to dress things up with a cloche, a pinecone, and a few ornaments.
Frosted Cranberry Candle – Bath and Body Works
A miniature blue Alberta Spruce adds color and smells fantastic.
Washing up can even be festive with a bit of holly and Christmas cheer!

A simple ribbon tree adorned with some of our favorite Christmas photos of years past highlights a great place to curl up with a good book.
My helper was a teeny bit hungry while this shoot was going on. It was a wrap shortly after this as orange slices starting disappearing. Funny.. No one knew where they went..

That’s it for me! I hope you’ve enjoyed my little Christmas room tour and found a few ideas you can use in your home. We’ll be dreaming of sugarplums while nestling in our bed and hoping that the big guy is good to us – We’ve tried hard to be good this year! We wish you the Happiest Christmas or the most wonderful holiday if you celebrate in some other way.
