As usual, my sweet tooth was totally in charge. I was wowed by Marilyn’s Treats’ Bailey’s Chocolate Chip Cheesecake and The Recipe Wench’s French Dip Sandwich – well, let’s just say I nearly licked my own screen.

But the one that intrigued me most was Guilty Chocoholic Mama’s White Chocolate Pretzel Cookies

Elizabeth of GuiltyChocoholicMama is a self-described imperfect mom. She’s funny – I mean really funny – and after making this recipe, it’s obvious to me that she makes some perfect chocolate chip cookies! Other recipes I’ll be trying – you can count on it – are her Molten Peanut Butter Chocolate Pudding and Peppermint Patty Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Although the cookies came together like your typical chocolate chip cookie, I found the dough to be a little more flavorful than your usual chocolate chip cookie. I think it had a little more caramel flavor, which I loved.

I made half a batch which resulted in a generous 2 dozen cookies of reasonable size – not too large, not too small – and stored the rest to bake later this week. It’s like the treat that keeps on giving!

I did have to adjust the baking time to about 10 minutes, but that could have been my oven.

These cookies were amazing. Point blank. My husband, who is not a sweets person, was all over them. Luckily, I was able to save some for my Spring Tea Party where they were loved equally as much!

Thank you so much to Elizabeth for sharing her recipe!

Mini Mexican Quiche - Feature from this weeks You Link It, We Make It link party. This recipes from Farmhouse 40 made the perfect appetizer party food.

April’s make-it feature was Farmhouse40’s Mini Mexican Quiche. Hop on over to see her and the results!

  3. Please hop around and check out some other recipes – share the love!
