Hello! Congratulations on making it through the 2016 holiday season to this first Monday of 2017! If you’re anything like me, you spent your first day of the New Year transitioning from Christmas decor to Winter decor, because you just couldn’t stand it a minute longer. You may also have been making lists for all of the decluttering and organizing you’d like to get done this month.. while kicking back in your jammies with your feet up binging on Gossip Girl through Netflix. Happy New Year indeed!
I hope the holiday season was kind and wonderful for you all. For my part, my family and I took the last few weeks of the year to spend some much needed time together. We’re all rested, egg-nogged and ready to start the new year.
Before we jump right into the new year, I’d like to take a little bit of time to look back over all we accomplished, and to share some of your more favorite moments of 2016 from this little blog of mine. For my own heart, I’ll also share a few things that were my own favorites that you might have missed!

We participated in and completed two rooms during the Spring and Fall One Room Challenges. Our multi-purpose Dining Room/Playroom is still functioning perfectly for our family and our new Game Room has been a huge hit throughout the holidays.

We threw a few parties, but this Spring Tea Party was one of my favorites.

There was more than a little bit of DIY and crafting going on, but by far, this post on Aging Furniture with Paint and Glaze was a big favorite!

The following are things that I just loved working on, even though they weren’t quite as much of a hit with you!
I stepped outside my comfort zone on both of these woodworking projects. It was like my own personal shop class around here!

|DIY Geometric Wood Candle Holder|
These fun DIY Monogrammed Wine Glasses were a quick project, just perfect for gift giving.

One of my favorite upcycle projects, my faux wicker rockers were headed for the dump before they received a bit of TLC.

More than a few wreaths were added to my collection this year.

It was a heck of a year. Thank you so much for your support through it!
Now it’s on to the new! I’m so excited to see what 2017 will bring and have a whole slew of ideas and dreams to make come true over the next twelve months. I hope you’ll follow along with me!
Be sure to check out the highlights and misses from these lovely bloggers as well! Huge thanks to Jennie of Refresh Living for hosting this hop!
